B90X Day 6

It was great to meet with a group of guys this morning that are going thru B90X. It was obvious from the start that these guys were passionate and committed. Thank You guys for inspiring me.

I came away with 2 key points in today's reading. At least to me and where I am today.

1. The responsibility that our spiritual leaders carry. In Exodus chapter 16 God gave very specific instructions about gathering the manna that rained down at night. It seems some of the Israelites chose to do it their own way even though their way did not work so well. verse 28 Then the Lord said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?"

Just a few chapters prior Moses was doing everything he could to get out of this gig. Now God is calling him out because of a few people that would not follow.

Do you pray for your Pastor's? The leaders of your church?

2. The value of a brother in Christ. During the Israelites battle with the Amalekites Moses stood on the hill overlooking the battle with his staff. The same staff used to strike the Nile. When he held the staff above his head the Israelites were winning, but whenever he would lower the staff the Amalekites were winning. I love verse 12: When Moses hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up, one on one side, one on the other, so that his hands remained steady till sunset. As a result Joshua won the battle.

Do you have bothers in your life that will raise you up, encourage you, fight the battle with you? Better question yet, Are you that brother to someone else?

Till next time...
